SUMMARY OF EVENTS
FRIDAY MORNING - Join us for a morning drive to Lindsay Fox’s restoration workshop at his Essendon Airport hangar. Meet at the Melbourne Zoo carpark, lunch at Galway Arms Bistro at Keilor (at your own expense) follows the hangar visit.
FRIDAY EVENING - We look forward to meeting you all at THE LEVESON (foodies hotel) 46 Leveson Street North Melbourne (Melway ref 43E5) for a social get together and attendance at the Annual General Meeting.
SATURDAY MORNING - Meet at Como Park North for our annual 356 display and sit down fully catered light lunch. Display of cars and judging to be conducted.
SATURDAY EVENING - Pre dinner drinks and canapés at Lorbeks 327 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne (Melway ref 57A1) from 6:30pm. Dinner will be served from 7:00pm.
SUNDAY MORNING - Meet at Officeworks Car Park, Chadstone at 10:00am for a morning run to The Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens situated at Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula. There will be prizes for those intrepid Maze enthusiasts who can successfully negotiate the Maze. A light lunch will be available in the cafeteria (at your own expense) prior to farewelling all participants to return home.

356 DRIVE TO LINDSAY FOX RESTORATION HANGER
ASSEMBLYTIME: 10:00am
DEPART TIME: 10:30am Sharp
DEPART FROM: Melbourne Zoo Car Park - Poplar Road, Parkville.
You are all aware of the wonderful car museum that Lindsay Fox has established at Docklands but you are probably not aware that he has a further extensive collection of both cars and planes located at Essendon Airport and we have been fortunate enough to have been invited to come and view this collection.
In addition to the car collection we will be able to inspect two jet planes, a Bombardier Challenger and a Bombardier Global Express 6000 plus an Augusta Westland AW 169 Helicopter.
COST: The cost is $10.00 per head to tour the collection followed by lunch (at your own expense) at Galway Arms Bistro located a short drive away on the Old Calder Hwy at Keilor.
FRIDAY EVENING
MEET AND GREET SESSION
Meet and greet will be at The Leveson (foodies hotel) 46 Leveson Street North Melbourne from 6:00pm onwards drinks and mingle in the Queensbury Room with dinner and AGM to commence at 6:45pm.
This is a “pay your own way” night and all are welcome at this 356 get together.
AGM NOTICE - Our Annual General meeting will be held at The Leveson at 7:00pm once meal orders have been placed.
SATURDAY MORNING
PARADE DISPLAY AND LUNCH AT COMO PARK
ASSEMBLE TIME: 9:30 - 10:30am
PLACE: Como Park North, Williams Road North & Alexandra Avenue South Yarra
The plan is to have an informal get together of Porsche owners and enthusiasts whilst enjoying a light sit down
lunch at 12:00 noon in the marquee surrounded by Ferry’s finest. Informal judging of 356s’ to be conducted.
The top car of the day will be awarded the magnificent “Porsche Cars of Australia Trophy” at Saturday night’s function courtesy of Porsche Cars Australia.
If your Porsche 356 is “pre-restoration” you should not feel shy about bringing it along. In fact most of our members have well used vehicles.
Goodie bags available on arrival.
REGISTRATION: We can only reserve a “goodie bag” for financial members who forward a copy of their entry form confirming payment by 17th November 2017 and bring their 356 on the day. This is required, as we have to order metal badges and other items. The cost per car is $50.00.
SATURDAY NIGHT
32ND AUSTRALIAN PORSCHE 356 REGISTER INC ANNUAL DINNER
INCLUDES TROPHY PRESENTATION
You are invited to attend the 32nd Parade Annual Dinner at Lorbeks 327 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne (Melway Ref 57A1).
Pre dinner drinks and canapés will be served from 6:30pm and a 3 course dinner commencing at 7:00pm. Trophy presentation and visual display will be conducted during the evening. Club raffle of various items during the evening.
Renew old acquaintances and make new ones while you enjoy the fine cuisine and wines at this fantastic annual event.

COST: $100.00 per head including pre dinner drinks, canapés, plus a 3 course meal and wines.

ASSEMBLE TIME: 9:30am
DEPART TIME: 10:15am
DEPART FROM: Officeworks Car Park, Chadstone. Cnr Warrigal and Waverley Road, Chadstone.
DESTINATION: The plan is have a leisurely drive to Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens situated at Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula.
COST: $15.00 entry fee includes Hedge and Rose Mazes, Lavender Labyrinth and Lavender Gardens. Plus 25 acres woodland Gardens. A light lunch will be available at the Maze restaurant at your own expense.
RECOMMENDED HOTEL
Interstate, overseas and country visitors are encouraged to stay at THE BAYVIEW ON THE PARK, 52 Queens Road, Melbourne, 8004.
They have set aside a number of rooms at $155.00 per room per night (double or single) and if you wish to include Breakfast that will be at an additional cost of $15.00 per person (pre ordered when you make your booking).
This is an excellent modern four star hotel, with plenty of undercover parking at a flat rate fee of $13.00 per car, and is offering Porsche 356 members a really exceptional deal. Early booking is essential in order to secure your room. Our block booking will only be held until 1st November.

JUDGING
All cars entered for judging must be present at Como Park for judging. We hope to complete judging by 2.30pm and trophy presentation to be conducted Saturday night at Lorbeks.
We do not inspect the underside of cars but we do judge the engine, passenger and luggage compartment. In the past, the lack of attention to the engine compartment has often been the difference between cars which have scored well, and those which have not. We also like originality!
As in earlier years, we will again have a Masterclass which will include winners of ”Porsche Cars Australia Trophy” and Gold Awards from the last three years. These cars are not eligible to win the PCA Trophy or Gold Awards again during this period.
Entry into this section is automatic and cars/owners can only win a Masterclass section once.. The objective is to give everyone a fair chance of winning an award.
Once you have won one of the top awards, we feel that others should be given an opportunity.
