Weekend Away - 24th-25th February2024
Join us for a wonderful weekend away exploring the west of the state with an overnight stay at The Sands Torquay.
We will depart from Lorbek Luxury Cars in Port Melbourne and our lunch stop will be at the Farmers Arms Hotel Beeac. Once we have had lunch, we can wander around Ean McDowell’s private collection which is located at the back of the hotel. He has an extensive range of over 50 cars spanning a lifetime of collecting and motorsport activities. It’s an eclectic mix of motor mania and Italian and French cars.
Once we finish the viewing, we will head to The Sands Torquay via Lorne so we can take advantage of driving the Great Ocean Road. You will have the option to stop in Lorne and take a stroll down the main street for some afternoon tea before completing the final leg of the journey.
We will be staying overnight at The Sand Torquay. The recently renovated and refurbished resort sits on an 18 hole championship golf course and has a range of guest facilities including indoor heater pool and fully equipped health centre.
Once we arrive you can put those well run cars away for the evening as we will be having dinner in the main restaurant at the resort.
On Sunday morning, breakfast will be served at the resort and you will have time to explore the facilities or take a short drive into the town of Torquay. We will depart the resort at around 11am and head to Jack Rabbit Winery on the Bellarine for lunch.
After lunch members can make their own way home at their leisure or continue to explore the various wineries that the Bellarine has to offer.
For those of you that live on the Peninsula you can take the scenic ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento. It is recommended you book a spot in advance.

Registration and payments close on 10th February. If not paid by this date the registration will be cancelled. Cancellations after 10th February may not receive a full refund as financial commitments are made to the accommodation and restaurants.
