Echuca, Victoria

On the banks of the mighty Murray River, Echuca is a destination offering a glimpse into a bygone era while being a vibrant cultural town.  Situated at the junction of Murray and Campaspe Rivers Echuca connects visitors from the north, south, east and west and is positioned as the nearest point of the Murray to Melbourne.  The neighbouring towns and villages also offer a multitude of opportunities for visitors to enjoy.  World renowned as the Paddle Steamer capital of Australia, we will be able to experience this charm first hand as we cruise on the oldest steam powered vessel on the Murray River, PS Canberra.

We will be staying at the Quest Echuca, centrally located in the heart of the town and set near the peaceful banks of the Murray River and historic Wharf Precinct.

You will enjoy an apartment with a lounge, a well-appointed kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and Smart TV with high-speed internet access.  There is a lift to access all upper floors and secure parking.  When the day is done, cap it off with a dip in the small on-site pool.

As with many accommodation venues these days, breakfast is not available on the premises.  Everyone will be provided a continental breakfast pack featuring bread, butter, jams, cereals, fruit, juices and milk.  Freeze dry coffee and tea are provided but if you prefer real coffee, or a hot breakfast, there are many cafes just a short walk away.  Café purchases are at your own expense.

Experience some magnificent scenery, history first hand, have some excellent food and wine experiences, and travel along some wonderful country roads while viewing amazing artworks on the silos & wall murals.  A highlight will be a visit to MOVE - Museum of Vehicle Evolution and of course the best company you could hope to enjoy it all with.  Come along and just relax.

Day 1

Friday 11^th April 2025

The Quest Echuca, 25-29 Heygarth Street, Echuca.

Register and receive your room keys, goodie bag and breakfast pack.  Relax before enjoying pre-dinner drinks with friends at nearby 1895 Royal Hotel

This will be followed by a 3 course dinner in the private dining room upstairs in the Royal Hotel.

Day 2

Saturday 12^th April 2025

10.00am:  Meet in front of the Quest to depart on a scenic drive to Tatura via Rochester Silo Art and Stanhope Murals. Lunch is provided at the Olive and Vine Café in Tatura by the local CWA. After lunch take a short drive to Shepparton to visit MOVE – Museum of Vehicle Evolution. A dynamic, ever changing, world class, unique and rare collection of vehicles from every era.

Also housed within MOVE is the amazing Loel Thomson Costume Collection. A journey through 200 years of fashion – over 10,000 objects of clothing, jewellery and accessories.

Return to Echuca at your leisure. (70km drive)

6.00 pm:    Pre-dinner drinks & a casual 3 course meal will be at Radcliffe’s / Port 53. 

Day 3

Sunday 13^th April 2025

11.15am:   Meet at Echuca Dock to board the PS Canberra for a cruise along the Murray River to Morrisons Winery Riverside Restaurant.  Enjoy a 2 course lunch including a wine and wine tasting.  The return cruise arrives back in Echuca at 2.30pm.

5.45pm:     Meet in front of the Quest for a bus transfer to The Mill Echuca for pre-dinner drinks before our gala dinner.  2 course meal in our private dining area.  On conclusion the bus will return us to the Quest.

Day 4

Monday 14^th April

After breakfast meet in front of Quest for “goodbyes” before heading off home.

• Three nights accommodation at the Quest Echuca, 25-29 Heygarth Street, Echuca in a Studio Executive Apartment.  Secure Parking!

• Breakfast pack including cereals and other items to prepare a relaxing continental breakfast in your room.

• Friday– Meet and greet welcome drinks and 3 course dinner at the 1895 Royal Hotel, 183 Hare Street, Echuca.  (Drinks with dinner at own expense.)

•  Saturday -  Lunch in Tatura supplied by CWA.
• • Afternoon:  Entry into MOVE - Museum of Vehicle Evolution
• • Evening:  Radcliffe's / Port 53, 6-10 Radcliffe Street, Echuca
  • • Pre-dinner drinks (included)
    • Three course meal. (Drinks with dinner at own expense)

• Sunday – Murray River cruise on the P.S. Canberra to Morrisons Winery for 2 course lunch - including a complimentary glass of wine.  And for those who wish to participate, there will also be an opportunity to try all the wines available at Morrisons.
